Red Star Baagrade v Glasgow Irish FC 
Sunday 4th December, Milton of Glasgow. 

Division 2A 
The Irish were away on league duty this week against an in form Baagrade side hoping to get back to winning ways in the league. 

GIFC threatened from the outset and Martin Rice came closest hitting the bar from 25 yards with a stunning free kick. 

It was strike partner Stephen Cleary who gave Irish the lead however with a superb drive across the Baagrade keeper after being sent clear from the outstanding John Biggins. 0-1. 

GIFC hit number two when the prolific Connor Jack smashed a right foot free kick into the far corner of the net after Shaun Munro was brought down 22 yards from goal. 0-2. 

Red Star hit back with a superb set piece of their own. Young keeper Harry Purves beaten by a great effort from 25 yards. 1-2. 

The home side then drew level after some dreadful defending left a striker unmarked to drive home inside the area. 

HT 2-2. 

After some harsh words at half time amongst the squad the Irish went ahead again when left back Stuart Taylor cracked a left foot free kick high past the Red Star keeper from 30 yards. A superb goal from the defender. 2-3. 

GIFC were great to watch when playing the ball on the deck and equally robust against a very physical side. 

Number four was a great flowing move which seen Mark Cleary play a defence splitting pass for Martin Rice to keep his composure and place the ball into the corner. 2-4. 

Red Star never gave up and with 10 mins to go scored another after confusion in the Irish defence let their forward in. 3-4. 

The Irish put the game to bed when Martin Rice flicked the ball on for Mark Cleary to cap a great performance by nicking in front of the Baagrade keeper to lash the ball home. 3-5. 

FT 3-5. 

Man of the match today was John Biggins. Closely followed by Cameron Mooney and Mark Cleary. Mark Paterson and Josh Reilly impressed coming on in the second half.
